If you’ve ever had sensitive or eczema-prone skin, you’ll know that washing your body or hands isn’t a simple, everyday task — it’s a calculated risk.
I understand that fear deeply.
I’ve always had sensitive skin myself. I react to makeup, cleansers, moisturisers, even makeup brushes. Trying something new has never felt exciting — it’s felt risky. That experience shaped how I see skincare and, ultimately, why I create products the way I do.
But my understanding of eczema goes far beyond my own skin.
Growing up alongside eczema
My sister suffered from extreme eczema as a child. She was hospitalised multiple times and wrapped head to toe in medicated bandages. Even now, as an adult, she still experiences flare-ups — managing them carefully through gut health support, fragrance-free products, and avoiding known allergens.
I’ve seen first-hand how relentless eczema can be:
- The constant itching
- The broken sleep
- The fear of trying new products
- The cycle of scratching, healing, and flare-ups returning
It’s not just uncomfortable — it’s debilitating.
My nana also struggled badly with her skin. Her fingers would split open simply from bending them, leaving painful cracks that took years to improve. Watching someone you love live with that level of discomfort stays with you.
These experiences are a big part of why I care so deeply about creating gentle soap for sensitive and irritated skin.
The fear of trying something new
One thing I see again and again with customers is hesitation.
People with skin conditions don’t impulse-buy skincare. They stick with products they know won’t make things worse — even if those products don’t actually help. And that makes complete sense.
So many people have tried products that:
- promised relief
- made bold claims
- and left their skin worse, not better
That kind of disappointment builds fear. I get it.
Which is why I never wanted to create products that shout, exaggerate, or overpromise.
A natural, supportive approach to skin
I believe in a natural approach to healthy skin, hair, eating, and living. I don’t believe skin should be stripped, forced, or shocked into behaving. I believe it should be supported gently.
Nature has always made sense to me. Everything is connected — what we put on our skin, what we breathe in, how we live day to day. And while no product is a miracle cure, thoughtful ingredients used gently and consistently can make a real difference to skin that’s already struggling.
That belief is what led me to create my Organic Tea Tree Soap — a gentle tea tree soap for sensitive and eczema-prone skin.
Why I chose Tea Tree (and its supporting oils)
Tea tree oil has long been valued for its antibacterial and soothing properties. For irritated or compromised skin, that balance matters — cleansing effectively without overwhelming the skin barrier.
Alongside tea tree, I chose complementary plant extracts carefully:
- Cinnamon Leaf, traditionally used for its purifying qualities
- Bergamot, known for its refreshing and balancing nature
Together, they create a soap that cleanses thoroughly while remaining gentle — something I felt was missing when searching for a natural soap for eczema-prone skin.
The soap is:
- free from harsh chemicals
- free from synthetic fragrance
- palm-oil free
- handmade with care
Because sensitive skin doesn’t need more aggression — it needs kindness.
The moments that make it all worthwhile
Nothing compares to hearing from someone who tried my soap with very little expectation — simply because it smelled nice — and then contacts me weeks later with results they never thought they’d see.
I’ve had customers tell me they’ve struggled for years, spent huge amounts of money on treatments, and nearly given up hope… only to see genuine improvement from a simple bar of soap.
My nana’s hands transformed in just two months. My sister found something that didn’t further aggravate her skin. Customers tell me their itching has eased, redness has calmed, and for the first time in a long time, washing doesn’t hurt.
That’s the part that makes my day — every single time.
A gentle option, not a promise
I’ll never claim that one product works for everyone. Skin is complex, personal, and influenced by many factors.
But if you have sensitive or eczema-prone skin and you’re looking for a gentler, more natural soap, my Organic Tea Tree Soap was created with you in mind.
Not to fix your skin —
but to support it.
